The Parlor Apartment: Walk one flight up to your private studio apartment on the second floor. Twelve-foot ceilings, the original wide-plank oak floors and some original moldings will keep you in a nineteenth-century state of mind.

The
Garden Apartment is not for the tall! The original tin ceilings are very low,
so if you're over six feet tall, be prepared. Windows look out (up a little!)
to the street, which is one of the quietest streets you'll find in the Village.

This wee Village
house was built in the late nineteenth-century on a wee Village street;
times have changed, and oh has the wee house suffered over the years,
from hacked-at walls to vinyl floors to murphy beds over old fireplaces;
but it’s now being slowly brought back to life.
You’ll find many
period details, some original, in the house; and the latest additions
and changes are all part of our effort to let the house’s spirit
shine through again. Further period restorations are in the works!
The first and second floors are guest apartments; the owners live
on floors three and four under that sweetly-steep pitched roof.
Jones
Street hasn’t changed so much since the house was built; though you
can see from tax photos that many of the ground floor apartments
of the buildings on Jones today were once tiny shops. Now Jones
Street is a quiet neighborhoody street with just a few shops, hidden
from the hustle and bustle of West Fourth and Bleecker, which border
it on the north and south.

The Parlor
Apartment, on the second
floor (walk up one flight), has original wide-plank oak floors and
tall windows overlooking a charming Greenwich Village Street.
The Garden
Apartment is
not for the tall! The original tin ceilings are very low, so if you're
over six feet tall, be prepared. Windows look out (up a little!)
to the street, which is a tiny little street, just one block long.
Both apartments include a queen-sized
bed with all natural latex mattress (like memory foam but not full
of chemicals so you can sleep healthy!) and a full kitchen, as well
as a nice spot for munching chez vous (a must since you are near
so many incredible speciality food shops, not to mention the Greenmarket!)
and a corner to sit and read.
This is a small, friendly guesthouse,
not a fancy B and B or full-service hotel; but we do have some nice
ladies who will tidy your room most days during your stay.
PLEASE NOTE:
We only offer full weeks (at least 6 nights) until 3 weeks ahead, unless there
is only available a slot shorter than that. We are not able to offer reservations
more than 4 months ahead at this time.
Our price includes all taxes, as well as continental breakfast at nearby café,
cleaning 5 days per week and wifi.
