In both rooms you'll find a completely private bath with full tub; both bathrooms have recently been renovated. Both apartments include a small but fully-equipped kitchen to cook delectable treats from neighborhood shops and the farmers' market, or just to enjoy tea in the afternoons after touring about town. There are wood floors and small Persian rugs in both apartments. You'll also find a corner to read and write, a small TV and an air conditioner in hot weather.

Parlor Apartment
Walk one flight up to your private studio apartment on the second floor. Twelve-foot ceilings, the original wide-plank oak floors and some original moldings will keep you in a nineteenth-century state of mind, as will the old-fashioned hexagon tile floor in the bathroom, kitchen and dining area. An antique iron bed supports an all-natural latex mattress (like memory foam but not full of chemicals so you can sleep healthy!). Tall windows look out onto Jones Street; a small window in the kitchen reveals the buildings behind; and the bathroom window looks down on our tiny soon-to-be-garden. You'll also find a corner to read, a small TV and an air conditioner in hot weather, small closet and antique dresser for your clothes.

FIRST FLOOR ApartmenT
The first floor apartment is cozy and charming, original tin ceilings at just over seven feet tall and nice wood floors. This is a street-level apartment; the wide windows look out and up a bit onto Jones Street; and the bathroom window looks on a tiny courtyard. An antique iron bed supports an all-natural latex mattress. Antique dresser, a small desk and a corner to read complete your cozy den.

THE owners' duplex
Occasionally, in addition to our two guesthouse apartments, the spacious owners’ duplex is available for rent. This 1000 square foot apartment includes a tiny side yard with barbecue grill and two separate floors of living space. Our living area has cozy living room with working fireplace, a bright kitchen with dining table and a full bath with shower and loads of light. There is also a little playroom off the main room, on the landing leading upstairs. Upstairs is a Parisian-style apartment with deeply sloping roof and exposed nineteenth-century beams. One bedroom has a sweet antique twin bed and desk area; the other an antique queen-sized iron bed, a reading chaise that folds out to a twin bed. Another open play area has a twin bed. The new bathroom has a slate floor and lovely skylight. Our apartment includes all the services of the guesthouse, including wifi, cleaning 3-5 days per week and continental breakfast at Doma Café. It also includes a massive book collection and many toys for small children; it is a bit like staying in the apartment of a friend, rather than the more spare space of a guesthouse apartment.
